An Irish singer and recording artist, Pat Byrne hails from Borris, County Carlow. Pat's voice strikes an emotional chord with his audience; ranging from seductive whisper one moment, to full-bodied rock 'n' roll growl the next. Byrne won the “The Voice of Ireland," in 2012. Just finished with his first U.S. introductory tour that kicked of in September 2017 in Austin, continuing to Houston, Baltimore, Knoxville, and winding up with the syndicated WDVX radio show, Blue Plate Special.
Byrne’s early influences were Johnny Cash and Elvis, first encouraging him to pick up the guitar. "I'll be forever grateful to my parents for having their records in the house," Byrne said. Pat started drumming as a young teen. He formed his first band in 2007, and continued playing professionally through his University years. Signing with Universal, Pat released his album's debut single, "End Of The World" in November 2012. Pat continues to tour Ireland, the UK and Europe, as a solo artist. Byrne began collaborating with Alan Downey of the rock band, Aslan, in 2014. With Pat on lead vocals and guitar, they perform a diverse range of music including Pat’s original songs.
In his first US tour, scheduled for September 2017, Pat will be joined by some of Austin's finest musicians. He returns for more gigs in November 2017. Sign-up for Pat's email list for more info.
